Thinking about going to see Chicago. Anyone seen them recently? Any good? I know that many of original members not with band. Is it worth the 100 bucks. Special guest is Rita Wilson.

the songs are still good so you will enjoy it.
robert lamm does most of the singing and they have a new guitar player and bassist
so, you should go if you like them
the "missing members" are terry kath (long dead), danny seraphine (drummer, who cares) and peter cetera

Worth it for the horn section.

I'm sure it'll be good. $100 good? Up to you. I'm sure you know they were just inducted into the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame. In case you missed it, here' the intro video and induction speech by Rob Thomas. Actually pretty cool speech about how they aren't the "soft rock" guys they became, but are actually badass--when Jimi Hendrix first met them he said their horn section was like one set of lungs and their guitarist Terry Kath was better than him.

Chicago was an outstanding group from 1969 to about 1975, producing vibrant, jazz colored rock masterpieces. Their decline began in 1976 with the ballad "If You Leave Me Now", pretty but showing a definite shift in the group's direction. Their music just became worse and more treacly as the 1980s wore on.

Jason Scheff the "new" bass player has been with Chicago for 31 years. His father was the bass player for Elvis. He sounds just like Cetera to me.

Since 1985, he has been the bassist and singer for the veteran pop-rock band Chicago.[1] He is the oldest son of well-known session bassist Jerry Scheff, who toured for several years with Elvis Presley.
Here is a portion of their concert from Austin City Limits in 2013. Jason sings at about the 1:20 of the set. I'm pretty sure this was recorded with a cell phone so the quality of the music is not very good. Chicago could probably do a six hour set with all the songs they have.

His voice is in bad shape. Has been for about 4 years. He can't hit the notes he needs to.

I saw them live 4 years ago and I came away from the show far more impressed with the live show than I ever expected. The horn section was phenomenal. I would not pay $100 to sit in some arena nosebleeds but would if I was in decent seats.

I don't know about that. This video was uploaded in May 2015 but it doesn't give the date of the concert. Sounds great to me.
