Black Sabbath were the kings of heavy riffs...This is probably my favorite.

What are yours ?

Into the Void

I saw them at Boutwell Auditorium in 1978. Van Halen opened for them.

Tony Iommi wrote more great riffs than 90% of the competition put together

Past Lives live album, take your pick of world class riffs.

I was just explaining this the other day - the whole "happy accident" with the finger tips and the metal caps.

Truth is stranger than fiction and you can't make this shite up.

Even the 80s Sabbath with Tony Martin had monster Iommi riffs. I love all of the Eternal Idol album.

Melding of massively heavy yet sometimes jazzy riffs. Incredible band.

If I recall correctly, I think Geezer wrote most of the lyrics.

I also love his style of bass playing. He and Tony were a perfect match !
