Binge playing

Last night I had a 2 1/2 hour band practice. When I got home I played another 2 hours. This morning I've been playing for 2 hours and I figure I'll play another couple hours this afternoon and later on tonight.
Do you players get into binge playing--like 5 or 6 hours straight, or what I've been doing since last night? In my case, it helps to have certain stimulating substances on hand, but damn, it sure is fun to spend big chunks of time with a gee-tar ...

We played live music for 8 years. I literally played music 1, 2 or 3 hours every day. When everyone was clicking on time during practice, we'd play for hours. Best time of my life!!!!!!!

Take a couple of tylenol,and also adjust the action on your guitar and use lighter strings.
To the OP, I do it all the time.
When I have got something developing, I wear myself out on it,experimenting and so forth..picking up different guitars and trying all of the possibilities.
Then I go to sleep and forget all of it

I used to when I was younger and had a steady gig. Now that I'm older and without a steady gig (I'd love one, though!!) outside of playing on Sundays at my church, I only pick up a pair of drumsticks once a week.

No shite, I was changing strings every 3-4 weeks at one point. But I solved the problem--I now own 7 guitars ...

That does help, I have a house full of them,but the same 2, still get most of the abuse... Shining Little Angel and Brutus. Those are my wife's names for them.
