I suppose it depends on which band you like better? Two completely different bands.

I'm serious. I've never seen tool but from youtube videos it looks like a pretty incredible show in terms of production and theatrics. I'd put tool and NIN ahead of phish's production

I've seen both and I still say Phish. CK5 shows are a spectacle

I've seen Tool. Cool lights, shitty music, lame crowd.

Phish >>> Tool

Phish vs Radiohead would be a better topic

I've seen both. I enjoy Phish shows more, but I also like their music better than Tool's.

I've seen both multiple times. Gotta go with Phish. They play 2-1/2 to 3 hours and you never know what you're going to hear. Tool plays more of a 2 hour Greatest Hits/New Album show. Both have great light shows - especially if you're on good acid.

Not only is Trey a better guitarist than Adam Jones, he's even a better lead singer than MJK

Fuego>Lateralus

Forward to 4m mark... The production of Lateralus on this last tour was prob the best I've seen of them

Agree with the first stanza, disagree with the second.

Exact reason why you can't have a decent discussion/debate on here People throw out troll comments non stop.

No doubt that Adam and Justin are not the greatest musicians out there, but there are very very few drummers that are better than Carey.

Prob the two best "working" drummers out there right now.. i.e. currently doing new material and active on the scene are Carey and Portnoy from Dream Theatre.

LOL

Heres the list from Digital Dream Door, yes, its all subjective and a lot of lists can be pure shite depending on who wrote them... But the difference in positions is pretty astonishing...

quote:

1. Neil Peart (Rush)
2. John Bonham* (Led Zeppelin)
3. Keith Moon* (The Who)
4. Carl Palmer (ELP)
5. Ginger Baker (Cream)
6. Terry Bozzio (Frank Zappa)
7. Bill Bruford (Yes, King Crimson)
8. Hal Blaine (Session man)
9. Ian Paice (Deep Purple)
10. Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater)
11. Dave Lombardo (Slayer)
12. Danny Carey (Tool)

Lets see where they put your guy

124. Jon Fishman (Phish)
