No love for Oasis in this thread?

Why would there be? This thread is about the 80s, not the 90s.

Edited to add a nomination for best 80s song:

Come On Eileen

a few I still like-

Jam On it-Newcleus

Sucker MCs-Run DMC

Another Brick in the Wall-Pink Floyd

Billie Jean-MJ

Al Nayafish (The Soul)-Hashim

If you like Africa...check out Late Night Tuff Guy's version called "Bless The Rains". Its ultimate yacht rock.

This is pretty damn easy. It's clearly "Keep Your Hands to Yourself" by the Georgia Satellites.

I wanted to put "Jump in the fire" or "No Remorse" but "Shout" reached across genres and was the epitome of 80s. "Melt with you" is another that comes to mind.

disco was the death knell for good music, rap/hip hop, what poses as "R&B," and Disney finished it off

Disco killed off the 60's and early 70's stars. It also led to a revival called the British Wave of Metal which kicked arse at the time.

I gotta admit, I had a "Disco Sucks" baseball t-shirt.

Thought you might go with:
Steppin' Out.

Extremely underrated contender in this category:
My Ever Changing Moods.
