Which version did you see live? tehB0lly/JCC/Auf der Maur/Iha was pretty solid

I saw them 3 times. The first was in 96, the show was postponed by 6 months after the keyboard player ODed and Chamberlin was kicked out.

I saw them a couple of years later in a smaller venue, don't remember the lineup, it was better, but still not as good as i had hoped.

And a few years ago, they headlined the alternative radio station fest and it was really not good.

Still, love the CD's though.

I have no idea why rap doesn't translate to a live performance, as you'd think it would

I'm not surprised it may have started out as DJs but has gotten overly produced.

GZA a few months ago at Tips.

Once you get too many people on stage with microphones you can forget about a good show.

re:cervantes, its awesome to smoke and not be hassled at all. The only problem is the owner is a fricking dick and a half.
Have not heard that about the owner. I love the environment but also they pull in some great artists. I've never been hassled about smoking anywhere except for The Marquis. frick that place.

flaming lips were boring as hell when i saw them live, festival set though, so i give them a slight pass.
I 100% agree that Flaming Lips are boring as hell. I really love their sound and the albums they put out, but I've been to 3 different shows now and every time I end up getting obliterated due to boredom. And they do the same shite at every show. Lots of smoke machines, confetti cannons, and Coyne running around in his cape then staring into the fish eye lens.

ill add mos def, qtip, de la soul, common, jay z and kanye (love him or hate him he puts on an amazing show)to the list.

ive seen numerous great "underground" shows as well, but most people wouldve never heard of the artists anyway.

Tool was boring as hell the last two times I saw them. Haven't listened to them since though I still like their old stuff.

I loved Tool's show in the lakefront arena. Had seats to the side where we could see Maynard on his lil ramp thing. I thought it was cool to see a lead singer who didn't have to be out front and center demanding all of the attention.

my friend got kicked out of the ogden and his pipe snagged a year or so ago. He is a fricking jackass though and likely got into an argument over it.

There used to be a few hardcore Panic fans on here that liked to flip out if you even questioned their greatness.

We're still here.

Where and when did you see them? Because if you're judging them based off of jazzfest..... Well, don't

Lakefront Arena, Jazz Fest numerous times, and last time was at the Pepsi Center where they were horrid. They definitely don't sound as good as they once did. In fact the Pepsi Center show was one of the worst concerts I've ever been to.

I saw Matisyahu recently and was pretty shocked at how good his show was. Dirty Heads opened up for him and they were also really good.

Hoping to catch Galactic and Toubab Krewe in Aspen the next couple months. I love Galactic with Corey Glover up front.

I have seen them 4 times
- varsity in 93 or 94
- Some festival in alabama in the late 90s
- Red Rocks in 2007
- Red rocks in 2009

everytime it was horrible, thank god I didn't pay for any of the tickets.

I like some jam bands, but not all. I can't stand Phish. But I like Moe. And a few others like STS9. I really like jamtronica.

Not a band but a DJ. Paul Okenfold. Loved the perfecto label but live he was horrible.
