I had a some oversized posters: Doors, Hendrix, Zep, and Rush. Also had a Keith poster, Stevie Nicks showing side boob poster, Heart poster, and a few punk posters.

The Meat Puppets. I only knew that one song, but I got the poster free from The Mushroom so it went on the wall.

Fall of 1980, Let There Be Rock was playing at the Sena Mall Cinema in Metairie. 5 minutes into the show I got thrown out for smoking a joint. Several weeks later I saw the manager removing the outside advertisement poster since the movie was no longer playing. He gave me the poster which hung in my room for years.

The only band thing I had on the wall was a Led Zeppelin tapestry.

80s teenaged girl standard issue.

I also had flyers of my boyfriends band which, thankfully, have been lost to the sands of time.

How are you still here? Shouldn't you have killed yourself by now? I only listen to The Cure or The Smiths when I am actively engaged in self-harm or suicide attempts. I'm not saying this like that music drives me to want to kill myself, but that the want to kill myself drives me to that music.

I didn't have any cool music posters because I was a sad poor kid who only owned hand-me-down things or freebies. Instead, I had some LSU posters that were given out at games, a couple movie posters that were handed out at the theater, and some maps.

NGL, as an adult, I've been considering going all out and just coating the walls of my bedroom with music posters. I mean, I'm a single divorced man child in my 30's who will never have children. I might as well embrace it, right?
