Attending concert while on crutches...yay or nay?

Does anyone have a successful story of attending a show while on crutches?
I'm thinking of going to the Billy Joel concert at the Smoothie King Center next February, but I will be on crutches during recovery from an impending surgery.
Will it be too much of a hassle to fight the crowds? And how do you store crutches if you are seated in the nose bleeds?
Thanks in advance.

Getting to and from your seat may be a pain, but I can't imagine too many people would be standing at a Billy Joel concert

Since you are on crutches you probably have a painkiller script as well. Boof some vicodin and rage the show.

Dude, it's Billy Joel. Chances are you will not be the only one with crutches, wheelchair, limp, or walker.

Yeah, look for wheelchair accessible seats. (Sometimes just listed as "accessible." You'll have a good view with space. You'll love it.

I had ACL reconstruction A LONG TIME AGO and went to see Pearl Jam with a friend. No issues and there was plenty of pussy wanting to help me get around

Don't ever think about doing it at Red Rocks. Trust me on that one.

I saw Henry Rollins on crutches at the 9:30 Club. It was a terrific decision. Though it probably prolonged my recovery something awful.

I once had a boss who was built like an NFL tight end. He was huge. He was a big fan of U2 but didn't want to go see them because he couldn't fit in a normal arena seat. I showed him how to buy accessible seats at TicketMaster and he had a freaking blast. It was just a cushioned folding chair but he had no one in front of him or behind him. All the leg room in the world. I scored big points on that one.
