if anyone is interested in going, adding the second date saturated the secondary market. you could get similar tickets to the picture for about $10. they were starting at $3 plus fees for tonights show when i looked yesterday. not a big fan but at $14 for a pair after all taxes/fees figured why not.

Going tonight, how much will the set list vary? Last night seemed, imo, too heavy on the Wish album which is one of my least liked. There wasn't much from Pornography, Disintegration and nothing from Faith or Bloodflowers.
They have historically played different setlists at each show.
I agree that last night's song choices were underwhelming. It was a good show overall, but they avoided most of the songs we the fans think are best. I appreciate delving deep into the catalogue, but that show was too heavy on the lesser liked tracks and new stuff. Here's the setlist for those who are interested
I was pumped that they played Burn from The Crow soundtrack though, so that worked for me
ETA: I was a bit surprised they did a segment of The Top songs. That's widely considered to be their worst record (not counting their newer stuff). With that said, Give Me It was great live! Really all of it was. I don't hate that record as others do, but I don't like it much neither. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it played live.

I bought these from TicketMaster the day they came out...paid over $150 after all of TM bullshite surcharges.

Yup. fricking scalpers screwed it up for everyone. I was lucky enough to get two floor tickets for Wednesday; however, since I also bought tickets for Tuesday, I am not going tonight and sold my tickets for 40% of what I paid.
fricking scalpers

What time did they actually go on last night? Would like to grab dinner before the show.

8:35
You have time for dinner. Opening band was meh, so you aren't missing much. On the floor the crowd didn't start to get tight until around 8
I was midway between stage and soundboard for the first half of show, and the sound was not full. Keyboards were low and some guitar parts as well. Part of this is due to it being the first show to kick off a tour, but the other part is speaker location. When I walked back by the soundboard for the second half of show, the sound was full and great.
I suggest hanging back if you want to get the best sound. The stage is setup at center court rather than 2/3 back as is typical for bigger acts, so you're still close enough to see everything

Should I go tonight? tickets are 12 bucks on stub hub

If you are a fan, go. They put on a great show even if you don't know all the songs

I like their delving into the deeper stuff and I like the Top. That when I started listening to them. Just before head on the door.

same here, but there needs to be a balance. last night was more heavily weighted towards the deeper stuff than it should've been

their best record. I love this one

Read somewhere that if you want to see them perform the traditional tracks and hits than this wasn't the tour for you. This one is geared more towards the hardcore cure fans that love the obscure tracks that they would rarely ever see live. It was an awesome show an a great venue to see them at. Simon's bass was thundering last night and he was full of his typical energy. The only complaint I had was the two drunk meatheads that got into an all out brawl right behind me during the show and beat each other into exhaustion before security got there.
And FTR, Twilight Sad was an awesome opening act. Just wish they'd have been able to play a couple more songs.

I'm surprised they played so much off of Wish. I wouldn't consider it obscure. I'd prefer more from 1985 and before, including B-sides if they want to be obscure.

So The Cure pretty much kicked arse tonight. Tonight's setlist was Disintegration heavy
Main set:
plainsong
pictures of you
closedown
a night like this
the end of the world
lovesong
doing the unstuck
just like heaven
last dance
this twilight garden
lullaby
fascination street
hot hot hot
screw
want
us for them
the hungry ghost
prayers for rain
disintegration
Encore 1:
the same deep water as you
Encore 2:
other voices
charlotte sometimes
primary
Encore 3:
step into the light
never enough
wrong number
Encore 4:
burn
it can never be the same
Encore 5:
boys don't cry

The Cure concert was rocking again

Tonight was a great set. Only missed A Forest but was a better choice than last night.
Posted on 5/12/16 at 2:51 am to Jake88
I think both shows were phemominal

I went to the wrong show
While I enjoyed Tuesday, this one has a stronger overall setlist.

This standard for them. I think they love hearing the cheers
