the bro country "artists" of the past few years have nothing to do with garth brooks of 25 years ago. chris gaines was a joke. not talking about chris gaines though.
garth brooks was more aligned with traditional country and then drifted into more pop music over time.

him too... he was even worse...
its ok if you like him as a little boy, but he was crap... I listened to crappy country music of the late 70s and early 80s, as a kid.. its still shite... but I still have a soft spot for Rhinestone Cowboy...

His first two albums weren't "crap" as it pertains to traditional style country music. Some great songwriting on those records regardless of what he did later on.
