Weakest 3 they have for my taste. Absolution was a masterpiece and Origin of Symmetry was amazing. Those two and Showbiz are their top 3 for me. Drones and T2L sound too similar and rely on the same techniques. Marching style drums, heavy and simple drop tuned guitars, and a simple yet melodic bass line. The first 3 were beautiful chaos.
I didn't really discover Muse until The Resistance, so I am biased against some of the older stuff, although Butterflies and Hurricanes might be my overall favorite. I really like when he incorporates piano.
I think the Resistance is the best because it takes the most chances. I still think the gutsiest - and yet most Muse-like - chance they've ever taken is with that French track on The Resistance. It's effectively a French pop tune which turns into a very dreamy piano-laden type of deal and then climaxes with a...clarinet solo. And it all works so well! I also love the 3 part thing at the end.
In any event, they are light years ahead of virtually everyone else out there right now. One of the only bands keeping stadium rock alive - even though they are way more complex than the average stadium rock band.

Yes! This and Knights of Cydonia are their two best. I think I like Knights slightly better, but these are two of my all time favorite songs... ever.

Knights is a tale of two songs for me. The latter half is somewhat meh. But that intro...phew!
You know the background, right? That guitar sound at the beginning is a tribute to his dad's run in The Tornadoes?

I knew nothing of this. I had no idea who his dad is or even who The Tornadoes are That's cool though.
I have no clue how you don't like the second half of that song. It's quintessential anthem music. The way the first half feeds into it amplifies its impact.
I love when they play it live, because Wolstenholme intros it with his harmonica rendition of Once Upon a Time in the West, which is only one of the 3 best westerns ever crafted if not the best.

I like it, it's better than average. It's just not as great as that never-ending chord progression for the main riff at the beginning.

Yeah that whole thing is awesome.

Bellamy is the greatest rock star of this era. And Chris and Dominic are absolute beasts on their respective instruments.
I agree. this whole Amish/Indie/80's Alt Pop Rock experiment has killed rock music. Need another Axl Rose/Lane Staley asap

What did you think of the show?
I went to the Saturday show and loved it
I'll also disagree with BGTX guy that Drones is the weakest album. I think it's one that deserves another listen to truly appreciate it.

Best for me is Origin of Symmetry.
Just raw but melodic. The energy on that album is absurd.

They played Feeling Good and Plug in Baby from that album on this tour.
Plug in Baby translates really well live
