Why is she rarely mentioned within the likes of Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Rihanna and other pop stars? From a voice perspective, she can sing with anyone. I just feel she isn't mainstream at all. She kind of flys low key and under the radar. Any idea why?

The others listed are pop stars and use their sex appeal as huge selling points.

She is a beautiful woman of substance. I rate her way above the others you listed.

Came here to post pretty much the same thing. She is deserving of mention with Adele, Lady Gaga, Florence Welch, and Norah Jones, among others.

I got high at an Alicia Keys concert and then found out I had a surprise drug test at work. I forced my coworker to let me use his piss and I passed the test, whew!

Actual talented musicians have no place in today's pop world.
Look at Lady Gaga. She is a fantastic piano player with a great voice and she chooses to wear dresses made out of meat and autotune her voice.
