We just moved back to the area and are looking for 2 go to hangouts.

1 - a blues bar (went to The Blues Room this weekend and it was OK). Any other suggestions?

2 - jazz piano bar - a quiet classy place to talk, listen, and have good drinks and maybe a little dancing.

I know the BR music scene isn't near when the NO scene is, but would appreciate some suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Not exactly a blues bar or jazz spot, but blues and jazz acts play several times a month including Friday with Little Freddie King.

Tried Mud and Water - music was pretty good Saturday night, but atmosphere/crowd were not what I was looking for.

Churchill's and Phil Brady's were probably be our next shot.

Club Shenanigans? You trying to get me killed?

May try out Teddy's Juke Joint also.

Check out Chelsea's. A little more of the dance crowd in there. A little more of a New Orleans type crowd when the music is good.
