I'm here, stage right for Radiohead

aww shite man. I was stage right too. Right in front of the Texas flag half way between the sound booth and stage. Edit: I just realized that I was stage left.

I agree they started slow, like they weren't really into it.

Before them I saw Flying Lotus and Foals. Flying Lotus was much better than I thought he was going to be.

The SURVIVE show was the best thing I saw this weekend. My body has never vibrated so hard for so long.

Come to find out, Thom Yorke and Johnny Greenwood were literally around the corner from where I was Saturday during the day. Like 150 feet away. Very bummed I missed meeting them.

Just returning to this thread, sorry I missed you. I didn't get a chance to make it to the Beer Hall at all. Did ACL Cashless work at all over the weekend?

Radiohead:

Wish I had some pics and video from Survive, but the lighting made it impossible to get any decent shots with my phone. Here is a video that I found on Youtube of the opening 10 minutes. I was 4 rows back right in the center. LINK

I also watched about 15 minutes of Future Blondes before Survive. It was a spectacle. If you're into Satan worship and/or the occult, they're probably something you would like. I just happened to catch them while I was going back to the inside bar to grab a few more drinks. It was like a car wreck. Couldn't look away from the bizarreness.

Shane Smith and the saints were fantastic. Really liked them.

I saw them open up for Travis Tritt a few years ago and was impressed also. Their song "Dance The Night Away" has been in my regular rotation ever since. Didn't see them this weekend, unfortunately.

My group of friends was torn between seeing LCD or Mumford on Sunday, so we spilt up for those shows. My GF really wanted to see Mumford, so that's where I ended up going. Can't complain. I am just a casual fan of them but I wont deny their show was entertaining. Met back up with the LCD group afterwards and they all agreed that LCD was PHENOMENAL.

Saw Chris Stapleton earlier in the day. First time seeing him live. He was great. Gotta say that his version of Tennessee Whiskey has to be one of the best covers I have ever heard (I know this board is big on it too). He ended his show with it and just killed it.

One last highlight from the weekend: 3 lbs of brisket + 3 lbs of pulled pork from Franklin's on Sunday:

In the couple of minutes that haim wouldn't stop doing bad drum solos and let Mumford start I heard LCD a bit. Hate that they put them opposing time slots.
