Which would you say was the overall better album?

Really tough call as I love them both and I've debated this in my head over the years. I give the slight edge to WTKSP, but really it is 50/50 to me. Best music ever recorded IMO.

John Gacy painting for the win. This is a mindfrick of an album.

Other sludge bands like Eyehategod and Crowbar can be a bit too one dimensional at times. Like others have mentioned in the past, Acid Bath was like a stripped down and filthy version of Alice in Chains. The angst, fury, aggression, melody, and beauty of their sound makes us pine for more. Few bands can incorporate such traits so effortlessly without coming across as disingenuous or progressive for the sake of being progressive.

When the Kite String Pops introduced me to this terrific band. It's bright spots are a tad bit more impressive than its successor, but that is no slight to the sophomore release.

I've always preferred wtksp myself, as a young teen the first songs I heard of them were "scream of the butterfly" and "the bones of babydolls".

Instantly hooked. Instant influence.

I love them both and still play em a lot! I spent a lot of time with Sammy and the guys back in the day as a youngster. I had the pleasure to hear both records before they were released. I wish Paegan would be mastered better, I find it to be quite low. These guys should have been in a studio 24/7 bc they were so damn talented. Their live shows weren't just a show, they were an experience. Good times...

Paegan by a hair. I think it just has a better collection of songs. One of the best local bands that burned out way too soon.

I know Dax personally, he is a good dude.

That said I love PTT but Kite String as a whole is better.

Kite String Pops. Sound track to a bunch of good times.

Saw them live a whole bunch before and after it came out and they always killed it.

Give me When the Kite String Pops, outstanding from start to finish. I love Paegan too though, another great album.

Never got to see them live, wish the surviving members would do a show together for old time's sake.

I saw Jimmy K's brother a few months ago, and it seems that he's up and down as far as having it together.

Sadly, that will never happen-not with Dax. He's totally comfortable where he's at right now, and has been the only one blocking this from happening for years now. They even considered getting another singer to do a few shows with-which I think is silly bc who can replace Dax Riggs? Also, he kind of has this "condition" that prevents him from doing all that screaming like he did in Acid Bath.

On a side note, it's been 6 yrs since Dax has put out an album. He needs to bless us with some new music...
