Bud it did it really happen?

Or was it all just an experiment?

my hippy dad took me to the Tuscaloosa show the next week I don't remember the music but I do remember going, seeing all the people, thinking it was cool being on the basketball court floor at Memorial. It was not crowded.

I personally prefer 5-9-77 in Buffalo.

Closed out Set 1 with Scar > Fire, then proceeded to play a second set and encore of the following:

Samson And Delilah >
Bertha >
Good Lovin'
Brown-Eyed Women
Estimated Prophet
Terrapin Station >
Playin' In The Band >
Drums >
Wharf Rat >
Playin' In The Band
Encore:
Sugar Magnolia

Yeah, I'd say really, really good is an understatement

Buffalo is great too.

I don't know if Cornell is the "best", but song for song, it's definitely one of the more consistently solid shows out there. Maybe there are better versions of certain songs elsewhere, but there's not a single dud in this show IMO.

I'm not sure if this show is in the vault, but if y'all want to see a fun show with the same lineup, you owe it to yourselves to check out Durham '78 on YouTube. Some audio issues in the first 10-15 minutes, but stick with it. Great show, and the band is having a blast onstage. If for no other reasons, it's worth watching just to see Jerry do Pete Townshend windmills on "Truckin'" and him in full rock star mode on a shite-kicking "US Blues". Hell, he even participated in "Drums", so something must've been in the air that night, lol...

I think it's a good choice as "best" because it's pretty easy to accept, in light of the beginning to end quality of it. Yeah, it got the mystique from the tape quality that went around the scene way back, but listen to that remaster and it's clear that it was a stellar show. Hell, I can't stand Row Jimmy and they even had a great version of that.

Jerry doing windmills sounds like a hell of a time.

Dude, that's a great version. You can also see Billy throw his stick up in the air, catch it then hit his crash.

No arguments here. Like I said, not a dud in the lot. Maybe there aren't any perfect 10's on here (although "Morning Dew" might be an exception), but it's one 9 after another...some other shows might have a 10 here and there, but also a few 6's and 7's too. Overall Cornell is just a high-level show from beginning to end IMO...

Yeah, that "Truckin'" is a fun watch all around. I used to have a VHS of that show back in the day, and I'd always get the biggest shite-eating grin on my face during the "Truckin'" finale, lol...just a fun, entertaining show.
