Love a good western and Lonesome Dove tops all of them, in my opinion.

Picking Lonesome Dove is like picking Band of Brothers as your favorite war "movie". No fair!
In the traditional vein... I'll got with "The Outlaw Josey Wales." But some of the stuff that's been on TV like "Broken Trail" and "Open Range" are really better than most stuff that's been done in the theaters in my lifetime.

Yea I never really know how to categorize these kind of shows. They're definitely above your traditional TV shows but I can't really call them a movie.

Well, a mini series has the advantage of numerous hours to develop the story and characters.
Band of Brothers and Lonesome Dove are two of the greatest television productions in the history of television, IMHO. But you can't really compare them to a movie that has to play out in a couple of hours or so.

My favorite genre. Almost impossible for me to say. Once Upon A Time In The West, The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly, Lonsome Dove, The Outlaw Josey Wales, The Wild Bunch, The Searchers, Tombstone, TAOJJBTCRF, My Darling Clementine.
And this is why we have decade lists.
