Your favorite Arthurian Legend (book/movie/poem/tv show...)

I just finished Jack Whyte's Camulod Chronicles. It is a series of nine books that begins 40 years before the birth of Arthur Pendragon and explains the Roman influence on the Arthurian legend. I absolutely loved Whyte's interpretation of the legends. He was able to be true to the older stories while incorporating a real-life sensibility to Merlyn, Uther, Arthur, and Britannia. I recommend this series!

I grew up loving The Crystal Cave series from Mary Stewart. Told from Merlin's PoV.

I've read Uther and sort of lost interest halfway through. I finished the book, and it was pleasant beach read, but I didn't love it. Didn't know it was part of a series, honestly.

Yes...I see the problem. Uther and the Lance Thrower were meant to be stand alone segments of the series. However, unlike The Lance Thrower, Uther would be nothing without having read the first 4 or 5 books. It answers many questions that the reader might have...or answers many of Merlyn's misconceptions about his cousin, Uther. When read in order, it was a great book.

Still have those sitting on a bookshelf though I haven't read them since I was a kid.

Movie has to be Lancelot with Connery playing King Arthur. Love movies / books about that time period, will definitely check out that series.

Baloo, you can find out the order of books by looking for "The Camulod Chronicles," but the first book is called "The Skystone."

Funny for sure. And like most good people, I can quote the film forward and backwards, in french and german. Up and down, standing on my head holding a pot of tomatoes. Easy. Ask those who know me.
