A top is the worst possible thing you could ever use for a totem.

Oh my bad, this was supposed to be ambiguous stuff.

It is not the diamonds that were stolen in Reservoir Dogs either.

This. How is this even up for debate?!?!

Dottie wasn't even going to play in the championship, but her competitive nature got the best of her. And in the final at bat when she got the hit, she realized that winning this game would mean nothing to her long term, but it would likely ruin her sisters life. So at the end, when Kit rounded third, Dottie saw an opportunity to do the right thing.

I mean, the knowing glance she gives Jimmy when she walks off the field, Jimmy knew there's no way she freaking drops that ball on accident. Pretty sure Penny Marshall has said she dropped it on purpose too.

Total Recall was all a dream at the Rekall facility. At the end of the movie, Arnold is lobotomized.

Sure. It doesn't really matter.
It doesn't matter, which is the whole point.

Neither McCready nor Childs is infected as the camp burns, but they freeze to death anyway.

That must be why she told the pitcher how to strike her out

Like we've always said, Dottie realized these things on that last play, Kit's look, the determination, the hit, It was more important. It was time to let go. Literally and figuratively. She knew Kit would get more out of the win than she would. She could sacrifice. This is Dottie's journey, not Kit's.

Doesn't she tell the hot blonde pitcher how to strike Kit out after Dottie gets the big hit and sees Kit crying in the dug out?
