Written and performed by Sam Smith. It's on Spotify though. I'm off to work soon so it's up to someone else to find a better link.

It's definitely no "Skyfall", although it tries hard to be. It has all of the elements: lush orchestration, key changes, minor chords, and dramatic transitions.

It just misses. Smith and his writers should have tried something completely different. They tried to write "Skyfall II", which, IMO is a top 3 Bond song. Although they didn't whiff, it was certainly a foul tip into the catcher's mitt (maybe I should have used a cricket reference?).

Justin Timberlake's falsetto has nothing on Smith's.

On NPR this morning, Smith said he wrote the vocals in like 20 minutes and used the vocals from the demo as the final version. I don't know how to take that.

The theme is fine. Skyfall has a great theme. This one is ok.

It won't have an effect on my opinion of the movie though.

I fricking hate Sam Smith like I hated Sarah McLauklin. Put a god damn sad dog commercial behind any of his songs and you are pretty much forced to be sad and donate money. frick this sad song singing mother fricker.

My thoughts exactly. The only reaction I had to this song was that now I have "Skyfall" stuck in my head again.

yea, I came in here pretty jacked up, and left pretty disappointed. I'm just not feeling it. The dramatic impact moments just feel flat. I just don't feel like his voice fits for a Bond film as well.

Would be better with Idris Elba.

Heard it on the radio. It's awful for bond.

They've turned bond into some metro-homosexual-emo thing. Wtf.

Um, no.

Say what you want about the song, but the man can sing.

If you're going to have a male sing a Bond theme, its gotta be a pretty masculine voice (Chris Cornell, Tom Jones)
