Wow, the Saw movies are really intense.

I watched the first one when it came out and remember it being pretty hardcore. I'm in the middle of the 4th now and they are all over the top. These movies are out there. I can't believe they were popular enough for them to make so many.

I stopped watching them forever when they threw the chick from Becker into the needle pit. Couldn't handle it.

that was part 2 i think
i had seen 0 until law school then 3 came out and my roommate wanted to go see 3 so i bought 1/2 to watch before we went to see 3. the quality dipped so badly in the 3rd that i never watched any others

Some sick twisted mofos came up with these. The gore is pretty impressive, regardless of the quality of the story. Some of this stuff is hard to watch.

What I liked about the early Saw movies was the idea that Jigsaw putting these people into these life-or-death situations helped them and made them appreciate their lives more.
But over time, the "games" just became more and more cruel and impossible to escape.
The later movies totally gave up on that whole helping people idea.

The first movie was actually very good, and it had some unique twists I've never seen in other movies

Same here actually, that was so painful to watch.
First one is a really good movie, but that scene and the house in 2 stopped being about a mystery movie and started being something different.

I've seen the first 5 and enjoyed them all to varying degrees. The first is one of the best horror movies in recent memory. Jigsaw is a great character. Tobin Bell's performance makes these movies work.

Didn't mind the 3rd, but it wasn't as good as the first two. The 4th was just bad. I don't think I have 3 more of those left in me.

Of all the scenes of the franchise that's the one that always got me. I love horror/gore movies but I couldn't take watching her wade through the needles.

The first is fantastic. One of the better horror films in the last couple decades. It turned into torture porn and went off the rails, but I liked how they connected the entire story in the last 3
