Would you be in favor of Showtime resurrecting Dexter?

Considering how bad the series finale was, would you like to see at least another limited run season or two of the show?

I know it's been rumored for years now but nothing has ever gotten done. But given the landscape of TV today, I wouldn't necessarily discount the possibility.

So, would you be in favor of correcting the wrong that was the series finale and give it proper closure?

Or would you prefer to leave it be given the possibility they would simply screw it up again with a ridiculous story line that would make no sense and leave fans hanging once again (see X-files).

Not really..I loved the show (especially the first 4 seasons) but I feel that it ran its course. Probably best to leave it be and move on to something else imo.

The show had clearly run out of ideas way before the final season, so I see no good reason to bring it back.

They could pull a Dallas and he just dreamed the final season.

I believe they wanted to start up another series based on Dexter. But no, it was a great show that had an awful ending. Just leave it alone.

Seasons 1-4 were great. Season 4 is one of the best seasons of any show I've ever seen.

You've already done the back story and his family would be gone, he'd just be a serial killer vigilante. It'd be pretty unlikely a series reboot would be able to come close to the original.

If they got serious about a reboot, a Dexter meets House of Cards would be somewhat interesting given today's climate. But I agree, best to leave well enough alone.

In the last episode, didn't he move far away and become a lumberjack? How about a Dexter/Fargo crossover season?

No way, the show went on four seasons too long as it is.

Maybe he could change his M.O. and go after people who drive TV shows into the ground. There would be a real purge at Showtime.

Worst final episode in the history of television.

Such a shame. To be so good for those first 4 seasons then fall off a cliff like that was incredibly disappointing.

After Rita's death, the show couldn't find a groove that worked. That moment was so epic that it set a new bar. From that point on they had too many misses trying to live up to it.
