Wonder Woman Film (Spoilers)

I wasn't looking for spoilers, but Pine's statement confirming the inclusion of Ares also gave away a bit of the plot:

I play a pilot who works for the Allies and spies on the Germans without their knowledge. My character steals a notebook filled with scientific formulas in an Ottoman base, he steals a plane but is shot down in the open sea. » Behind these scientific formulas, there is a deadly gas that could well annihilate humanity. Now, it turns out that this is precisely the goal of Ares, the god of war. He is jealous of humanity, which is a creation of his father, the deceased Zeus (he was killed by Ares when he rebelled against his son, despite the help of the Amazons)…

So Danny Huston's character is the God of War?
Makes sense.
Makes sense.

Sounds great to me. WW is lining up to be DC's first good film.

So, Gadot as WW AND Pine is in this too?

I mean, he was already Poseiden.

Pretty straightforward stuff. I'm not actually convinced Danny Huston is playing Ares. I've read he could be playing the Duke of Deception, a demi-god, Ares minion, and one of Wonder Woman's first villains in the comics. Until they announce who David Thewlis will be playing I'll hedge my bets. Really looking forward to this one.

Does Arnold Schwarzenegger have a role in ‘Wonder Woman’?
quote:
It has now been rumoured that Schwarzenegger may be being lined up for a small role in Wonder Woman, which will see a release in June. While filming finished last month, reports suggest that Schwarzenegger may contribute a voice role – possibly for a CGI version of the villain Ares.

Here’s who is playing the villain Ares in ‘Wonder Woman’
quote:
According to multiple sources, David Thewlis, best known as Professor Lupin in Harry Potter, will be playing Ares in Wonder Woman. I’m told that Ares is a mix of CGI and practical effects, and that he’s the main villain in the movie.

The CGI aspect might be why we haven’t seen Ares in any trailers yet. They’re probably still working on it. But don’t be surprised to see him pop up in the next one.

That sounds like an odd casting but I will wait to see what it looks like before making an opinion on it.

Why would Ares want all of humanity destroyed? He derives all of his power from conflict between mortals. In the comics, Ares would be trying to keep war going forever, not end it by killing everyone.

This was the very question and problem that served as the pinnacle of the fight between Ares and Wonder Woman in George Perez's reboot post-Crisis on Infinite Earths. It looks like it will serve as the imprint for the film as well.

Yeah, there was a test screening yesterday so be careful if you don't want the film spoiled.

There are so many fake "reports" from that screening, I'm taking it all with a grain of salt.

Here's the new cover for Empire Magazine. She looks fantastic IMO. Here's to hoping some of the positive reviews from the test are real and we just get a good film.

You sound like the guy down two Grand at the casino table saying his bad streak can't last forever.
