With Super Mario crushing the box office, will Zelda and Metroid be next?

Nintendo and illumination have to be planning more Mario movies and other franchises. Zelda is the obvious choice, but I also think a Metroid film would be great. What Nintendo franchise would you like to see?

If they are done as love letters to the fans they will be awesome.

I think they’ll do a Donkey Kong spin-off sooner than later.

Already a bunch of known built in characters to use, and great video games.

This would get the older video game nerds hyped up.

I'm hoping for a HBO Zelda series more so than a movie.

The mind reels at the idea of a proper Zelda movie...

Yes, because they understand family audiences just want their kids to be entertained.

Pixar, like all of Disney, wants to push a message and identity politics. People are sick of that garbage.

I just want to take my family and relax for a couple hours. IT isn't complicated but Disney has managed to screw it up.

Which allows other filmmakers to come in and grab marketshare. Capitalism at work.

I wish they’d do Star Fox. I loved that game as a kid. Could be Nintendo’s version of Top Gun mixed with guardians of the galaxy.

I love the original Contra but how would that translate into a fun family movie ?

Kid Icarus could be cool

But nothing except maybe Zelda would have the mass appeal of Mario
