Because it's a mediocre show with awful writing, that's why.

This was a good time to stop watching, and I don't blame you for that, but they really saved the show with season 4 and it has been nothing but amazing this season as well. You should give it another shot.

Yeah it gets really repetitive after season 2.

I mean.. how many times can you do the 'keep humanity vs survival of the fittest' debate?

A lot of critics say this is the best the show has ever been and among television's strongest.

That being said, I like The Affair, but this has been sort of a down year for TV.

but the HFPA falls out of love with shows after a while (like Mad Men-a better show than The Affair).

You don't think the dude who played Morgan or the woman who plays Carol can act? Come on. Yeah, Shane sucked, but give credit where it's due.

I know he hasn't had a lot of screen time, but he's pretty solid.

If there were any chance for this show to win any major awards -- it would have been season 1. That's it.

The show is so basic and goes absolutely nowhere. This coming from a 'fan'.

It doesn't help that the Hollywood snobs that run the award shows detest horror. When was the last true horror movie or television program to win any major awards?

Because it's not overly well-acted and it's a show comprised of scenes of dudes eating other dudes.

I would be grateful it's as good as it is, all things considered.

It's not very good.

Don't get me wrong...I watch the shite out of it, but I'm not going to pretend it's well written or well acted. It isn't.

It's fun, most of the time...but that's about it.

Exactly what I think about it. It's probably a lot better or more interesting at least than a lot of network sitcoms, but it's not near the upper tier.

I'll keep watching it for the time being unless I get bored with it really becoming too aimless. Zombies are entertaining.
