Unrealistic sure but is GOT realistic? It's not cheesy though, it's badass.

I like Banshee a lot, it reminds me of Spartacus in that you can turn your brain off for an hour and just enjoy the entertainment.

It is a lot like Spartacus. From the sex, violence, the way it is filmed and even the way the lead actor looks. Spartacus is another show I really enjoyed but I like Banshee even more. The first 2 episodes weren't that great but after that it gets sssoooo good! It's one show that has gotten better with every episode and that is rare.

I like GOT but Banshee is better, I would guess that people who read the books before they watched the series AND watch Banshee would agree with me. The GOT books are just so much better.
As far as viewers go that doesn't mean much to me. Breaking Bad got shite ratings the first few seasons. Also, I am pretty sure Avatar had the highest ticket sales of any movie ever, just because the most people went to see it in the theaters does that mean it is the best movie ever?

I started Banshee a week ago and I'm already almost done with season 2.
It is completely over the top and outrageous but damn if it isn't fun and addictive.

Dig Banshee. Another Cinemax show that gets no or very little love is Strike Back. Both shows are testosterone filled "guy" shows that go great with a quality drink.

I enjoy Banshee. Don't know that it is in my top 5, but way more entertaining than Peaky Blinders for sure.
