Fans of the Gloved One want the white actor cast to play Michael Jackson in a new British TV movie to “Beat It.”

“Because we aren’t whitewashed enough in Hollywood, apparently,” read a tweet posted on BET’s Twitter page on Wednesday.

“They seriously couldn’t find a black actor to play Michael Jackson?,” tweeted DeRay Mckesson, an American civil rights activist and leader in the “Black Lives Matter” movement.

Imani Gandy wrote, “They cast a white guy to play Michael Jackson. I think we can admit that this whole ‘planet earth’ thing isn’t working out.”

Despite being black, the King of Pop will be played by Joseph Fiennes, a British actor best known for his role in “Shakespeare in Love.” He is also the younger brother of Ralph Fiennes.

“Congratulations to noted African-American actor Joseph Fiennes on being cast as Michael Jackson,” tweeted Forbes film critic Scott Mendelson.

“Wait…Joseph Fiennes is playing Michael Jackson in a movie? You have got to be effin kidding me,” wrote Shaun Hutchinson.

User @tawnybananas added, “Whose on board with boycotting the whitewashing of Michael Jackson in a show where Joseph Fiennes has been [cast] to play him?”

Couldn't they cast two actors? One for pre-op Michael and one for post-op Michael?

Michael jackson whitewashed himself to the point where a white actor has to play him. They think Idris Elba could have pulled this off?

But if anybody complains about the black guy playing Alexander Hamilton on Broadway, it's racist

Black people complain so much, they must get a race card in the mail when they get their social security card and birth certificate.

What a bunch of racists!!!

Didn't they hear? Fiennes is trans black. What an intolerant lot.

Does this mean he is going to be black early on and then transition to a much lighter color? Er....Blackface?

Yikes.

This is an onion article, right?

Hollywood tries to shite on white characters all the time by making them inexplicably black.

And NOW they are outraged?

April 29, 2010:

For 2 minutes and 17 seconds, Joseph Finnes "blacked" out and saw what his life would be like down the line.

Now, I understand why FlashForward was cancelled. So, Finnes could become white Michael Jackson.

It's not a film. It's a half-hour comedy special for British TV.

a very stupid sounding one...
"is based on an urban legend in which the King of Pop, Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando embark on a road trip after they are unable to catch a flight out of New York City after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks."

FACT: Corey Feldman tried to get on the Jackson's bus to get out of NYC but was denied.
