Still trying to figure out if I like it after years of re-watching it.

If it took this long, maybe you just don't like it? That's ok, you know?

I like it, but it's never resonated with me as one of my favorite sci-fi movies. Not sure why to be honest since it seems to have everything that makes for great sci-fi, but I don't have that much of a desire to rewatch it again. It's a great movie, but not one I enjoyed that much.

I think my indifference is that it can drag on in several spots for several minutes throughout the movie.

I think its the best. Visually, its still stunning today. Some might argue its not even Scott's best, that Alien is better. Either way he made 2 of the 10 best SciFi movies ever made.

It holds up really really well over time.
The music, colors, and cinematography make it an all time great.

I'd disagree.

This. I can't think of any other movie, SciFi or not, that looks (aesthetically speaking) as good as Blade Runner. Probably a great tripping movie, not that I know anything about that of course.

Number 1, and in my all-time top 5.
It's really fashionable to love Blade Runner right now. Anthony Bourdain is even opening a Blade Runner themed food market in NY, but I've been mesmerized by it since it was released. Every frame of that film is a visual masterpiece.
And Deckard is NOT a replicant. Let's just be clear about that. The theme falls flat if he is. I really don't understand why Scott would be a proponent of that concept.

Probably not worth it's own thread, so this is perfect timing for a Bladerunner thread:

On that note, it ranks in my top 10 Scifi films, possibly top 5. As mentioned earlier, it holds up VERY well today. The last 10 years have just been amazing for Scifi, though (The Prestige, Children of Men, Inception, Ex Machina, Edge of Tomorrow, Predestination, Snowpiercer). So I'd say Bladerunner is top 10 right now, but it could move back into my top 5 over time if those films don't hold up as well.

Would you eat at a market inspired by the 1982 dystopian classic Blade Runner? Anthony Bourdain is hoping you will. He’s currently negotiating to open a market in the renovated 100,000 square foot SuperPier in New York. The floor plan is said to evoke “the set decor of Blade Runner and the vibrant back alleys of Tokyo.”
“It is meant to be crowded and chaotic because that’s what hawker centers should be,” Bourdain’s partner Stephen Wether recently said at a food conference in Singapore.
The planned market is said to include an oyster bar, butchers specializing in various kinds of meat, a bakery, a tapas bar, a pastry counter, and possibly even a beer garden. The market will reportedly be BYOR (Bring Your Own Replicant).

Top 3, but my top 3 changes between this, Brazil and Children of Men.

It's my #2 with 2010 being my #3 as you can tell. Blade Runner is one of the best acted best feel to a SciFi movie I have ever seen and it still stands up to this day.

Brazil and Children of Men.
Might be in my top 3. Gattaca (97) is really high up as well. And 12 Monkeys. So many good Scifi movies, it's a tough choice.

Both of those are solidly in my top ten. I'm going on another scifi binge, so I'm thinking about making a top 50 list sometime.
