I"ve never seen malcom X. I suppose I need to it's been mentioned here a few times. I'll watch it tomorrow.
I love above the rim too but then again I play basketball. Regulators at the end of the movie was just perfect and Tupac was a damn good actor
Tales from the Hood rotfl. Damn I forgot about that one. That has probably the best single line of any movie of all time, with he slave owner creating a new word in the vocabulary. "Come here you little nigglets". I watch that movie just to hear that one line

Should have made my list - a young Denzell, as well as the best work of both Howard Rollins, Jr. and Adolph Caesar (yes, better than his work in The Color Purple) make this a "must watch".
Set in Louisiana, relatively late in WWII. Also, Patti Labelle has what I can describe as an extended cameo as Big Mary.

Not one mention of this after 5 pages? Highly disappointed.

Been a while since I have seen this, but it was a pretty good movie. Glory was great as well.

Friday is the only contender.
Probably the most accurate portrayal of black working class culture in cinematic history.
Under appreciated as a social reflection, due to it being a comedy

Many of those already mentioned I love. I'll throw an underrated one out there....it's probably not the best, but I really enjoy it:
