yes The Black Donnellys. I though that show was atleast decent, didn't think it deserved to be axed five episodes in.
I loved it
They did end up putting the rest of the episodes online but still would have liked to see it go a couple of seasons
that was Olivia Wildes first show

In the early 90's, NBC doomed 2 shows that I liked to television hell: Friday nights. Both shows premiered on Friday, which completely sucks.
Dark Shadows, which is a remake of an old black and white TV series following a vampire named Barnabus Collins.
American Gothic was the other one. It had Gary Cole (Mr Lumberg) and Lucas Black (the kid from Sling Blade, Friday Night Lights). The show was pretty awesome and one day, just gone. I think they play reruns on SyFy now, though.

She was on a season of The OC and Skin before the Donnellys.

1. Sons and Daughters.
1a. Party Down
Also, I would have watched more than 1 season of Worst Week, but I can see why they canceled it.
Also, going by the first episode of The Unusuals, I'd say it's a shame it was canceled after one season.

Playmakers on ESPN in 2003.

I think Tim Burton is making a movie of this

What was your favorite show that was cancelled way too early (season 1 or 2)?
Sons and Daughters. It was truly brilliant.

I got to go with Party Down on Starz. Adam Scott signed on to go with Parks and Rec and apparently he couldn't do both so Party Down was doomed. Sucks because that show was really really funny and they could have carried it out another 2 seasons if they wanted to.
Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip was pretty good. I think that was Sorkin's first job after the West Wing. Not nearly as good as TWW but still pretty damn good.
As others have said Rome was a really cool show that had a lot of potential.
