Cannibal Holocaust was difficult at some points (like the turtle scene because you know it's real).

Human Centipede wasn't bad at all IMO, but Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence is one of the worst movies I've ever seen...it's fairly uncomfortable at times though, so I guess it falls under this thread. Save yourself the time of watching it though ( my review).

ASF isn't that bad, but like I've said before...some of the subject matter is over the top, so if you can stomach that then you can watch the movie fine enough.

Also, parts of Megan is Missing were tough to sit through.

Pink Flamingos
Saw movies
Eraserhead
Human Centipede 2 (missed the first one)
Birdemic (may be worse than Plan 9 :)

What is this Serbian film about?

In high school, I rented Gus Van Sant's My Own Private Idaho based on my love for Drugstore Cowboy. I was watching at my Dad's camp at Lake Village, Ar when he just happened to show up. When he saw me scrambling to cut it off he made me rewind and watch the whole thing with him while he just glared at me. Mortifying.

Are Saló or A Serbian Film actually good movies?

I've watched some of Salo and do not suggest you watching it. Just read some of the descriptions online to get an idea of what it's about.

I second that.

I find it funny that you both reference the turtle scene in Cannibal Holocaust as making your uncomfortable, but not the chick being raped and beaten to death with a rock...

The Woodsman. Nothing I've seen can touch it.

Kevin Bacon playing a pedophile, living across from a playground, talking to kids in parks. There's one enormously uncomfortable scene on a park bench.

I have not watched the complete movie, only bits and pieces. The turtle scene is pretty disturbing because it was real.

The chick in the beginning who gets fricked to death with the spike is pretty uncomfortable though.

The whole movie didn't make me uncomfortable, but the rape scene in Last House on the Left was hard to watch.

Salo for me, though I haven't bothered to watch Kids or Happiness yet.

Salo is pretty much like watching extreme Nazi sexual and psychological torture for 2 hours with no hope for any consequences at the end.

It's just time spent in a really, really dark place and there is no real existential lesson to gleam from it. You don't really walk away saying, "Wow, people can be downright awful. I wonder why that is." You just have these scenes of people being forced to eat shite stuck in your head for a few weeks.

I watched the English Patient with my mom. There's lots of sex in that movie. Very uncomfortable for both of us. The new Thomas Crowne Affair was the same.

Watched this in an English comp class freshman year of college

It was the most spiteful sex we had ever seen to that point in our lives. Little did we know, most of us would be having a lot of the same sort of spiteful sex over the next 4 years

The movie itself wasn't so uncomfortable as the car ride afterward: Passion of the Christ.

Saw it with my very religious father at a time when I was having a falling out with the church we had attended as a family all my life. I knew he wanted to say something so bad to me on the heels of what we had just watched, but he's a great man and knew he had to leave it alone for the time being. Still, made for a very quiet, tense ride home.

Jackie Earle Haley in Little Children comes to mind. Lots of uncomfortable in that one.
