Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988). I was 4 or 5. I knew all the major cartoons and actually though people and cartoons actually lived together somewhere.
Turns out Disney nixed the sequels because Warner Brothers was going to get slightly more money. Looks like Disney's problems go back a while.

The first ones I can remember are a matinee of Grease with my mom, her friend, and her friend's two kids, and Smokey and the Bandit at a drive-in.
