I am a bit confused on the OP's question, are we asking what actress generally isn't hot but has had their moments(Sarah Jessica Parker) or the pinnacle of a hot actresses hotness(Jessica alba, Jessica Simpson, etc)

I liked her in Pearl Harbor too.

I mention The Aviator because she was playing Ava Gardner. Ava Gardner was referred to as "The Most Beautiful Woman in the World". Kate Beckinsale actually got some criticism for being "too pretty for the role".
