Same. I was obsessed. I had to see everything he was in, but after Me, Myself, and Irene, I kind of lost interest. I never got into The Grinch, The Majestic, etc. Then Eternal Sunshine came out, and it blew me away. I think it's easily his best performance as an actor, but I still think Dumb and Dumber is his best movie.
I'll never understand why so many people love The Mask. It seems like blasphemy, since I was such a huge fan of his during that period, but I felt the movie was not all that funny compared to all the other movies he was in during those few years where he exploded onto the scene.

Dumb and Dumber is a legitimately better movie than a lot of Best Picture winners.

- The scene where Broderick's character is arrested
There's a look Jim Carrey gives Broderick when he's about to reconnect his cable as he's reconciling with his girlfriend that makes me lol every time. He rolls his eyes into a scowl like if he had an axe it would be in Broderick's skull.

The cheerleader skit great as well. Lochmeal is supposedly speaking a foreign language and says "are you asking me fleeten?" after the principle tells him "you got ta get ta out da school".
