Seriously????? The 80's were great in so many ways over the 90's..... it's not even close.....

Born in 90, so I can't really say what captures the essence of the 80's. My gut reactions are Back to the future and Ferris Bueller if I had to guess.

Favorite 80's movie as a whole though? I'll go with Blade Runner

I can't say anything about living in it, although the 80's did seem a lot more upbeat than the 90's.

I will say 90's movies > 80's movies. Seems like a lot of 80's movies rely on a nostalgia that I don't have

Music sucked, movies sucked (except Gremlins), always worried about nukes coming in from Russia, Nancy Reagan telling everybody to just say no. Everything about the eighties sucked.
