What could have been: unfilmed TV episodes

I've always been interested in the ideas and scripts for episodes of popular shows that "could have been". Here are some of the more interesting ones I've found. If you know of any others, I would love to hear about them.
“Quantum Leap”
- there was discussion of having Sam leap into “Thomas Magnum” (from Magnum, P.I.)
- there was also discussion of having an animated episode
- More info at imdb.com
“St. Elsewhere”
- forget the snow globe: an unproduced series finale skipped forward in time 25 years
- it sounded like a crazy ending:
- Richard Nixon was cryogenically frozen
- Only two TV networks remained: NBC and Fox
- There was a war between “U.S., Inc.” and “Corporate Africa”
- More info at blogs.indiewire.com
“WKRP in Cincinnati”
- an unproduced script had Jennifer married to an “elderly gentleman”.
- another had a “joint” discovered at the station, which turns out to be oregano (that Mr. Carlson smokes!)
- More info at oocities.org
“The Greatest American Hero”
- there was discussion about having Bill Cosby appear in an episode as the Russian counterpart, reuniting Robert Culp with his “I Spy” co-star
- More info at tgah.proboards.com
“M*A*S*H”
- “Hawkeye on the Double” (script is a bonus feature on the “Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen” DVD)
- it was “too racy” for TV (Hawkeye was sleeping with nurses on both the day and night shifts, and they pretended to be pregnant to get even with him)
- More info at mash4077tv.com
“X-Files”
- there was almost an episode about Abraham Lincoln’s ghost, but the writers lost interest after doing massive rewrites on another story
- More info at wikipedia.org
“Star Trek”
- there was a rejected comedy (!) script that would have starred Milton Berle
- Gene Roddenberry wanted to do a “Spock’s leg story” episode, where Spock injured his leg (?).
- there were also some really weird ideas that were rejected (see the following link)

Not the same but the Modern Seinfeld twitter account that pitches ideas for Seinfeld if it was still on the air is gold

I love the WKRP ones. I believe the first was damn close to happening as one elderly guy died and had Jennifer in his will.
The Mr. Carlson with oregano would have been funny. There was the one where he put cocaine on his foot thinking it was foot powder.
