Heinlein is tough to adapt. Of all his books, I would really like to see Stranger in a Strange Land, but I know it would be very difficult to pull off.

Heinlein is a very good writer whose ambition always exceeded his ability. It's great that he was so ambitious because he managed to write some damn near perfect prose at times, but sometimes his stories are a little scatterbrained and hard to follow. It's like he tried to cover too much.

I would like to see a Lazarus Long movie too.

I want them to remake Timeline following the book and I will kill them for every scene Paul Walker is in.

Invisible Monsters. Former beauty queen blows off half her face with shotgun and goes on a cross country adventure with a tranny.

I know that Apocalypse Now is an adaptation, but I've always wanted to see the story as written on screen not adapted. But because of the success of Apocalypse Now I don't think we will ever see one.

I completely agree with you. I like Apocalypse Now for what it is, but I don't even like associating it with Heart of Darkness because I love Heart of Darkness for what it is.

Fate is inexorable...I don't know if there's an actor in Hollywood that could pull of Uhtred's pure badassery.

One of the best westerns I ever read was "Anything for Billy" by Larry McMurtry. Not sure I'd want it to be a movie tho as the book was so damn good, a movie may not do it justice. Still...

Definitely would love to see Guns of the South made into movie.

Also an HBO series on Turtledoves World War/Alien colonization books.

Turtledoves works are just plain awesome.

Chris Hansen would be on his arse with some of his nubile chicks from his books.

Having said that, Stranger in a Strange Land would be interesting although very hard to pull off.

Lazarus and his family would be interesting but once again very tough to pull off.

I'm going to go with The Cat Who Walks Through Walls.

Would have to be a physically imposing guy, make him gritty and a tad mean. I don't know who that would be either. Maybe hemsworth from Thor could pull it off.

Btw, is the series finished? Uhtred never captured Bebanburg, but Cornwell wrote 1356 most recently instead.
