I forget how much I like some of his work. Thinking about a Netflix search, what should be top of my list?

I really like Unforgiven, The Royal Tenenbaums, and Crimson Tide.
I am also a sucker for The Quick and the Dead, although the film is not really that great.

Fun fact: Gene Hackman is an avid Jacksonville Jaguars fan and good friend of Jack Del Rio

I still like him in the original Superman movie.
The original Poseidon Adventure is good too.
I like the movie but I hate the title, "Crimson Tide." He's really good in that.
Forgot about "The Replacements." That's a good flick too.

As mentioned, Unforgiven is some of his best. Little Bill is bad , but you totally see his POV. Bite the Bullet is lesser known but GREAT, he's a horse expert and animal lover, what's not to love?

The blind guy in Young Frankenstein is his most memorable role to me. I love his body of work, but that's the one I enjoy the most.

Some great ones have been mentioned. Here's a couple more:
The Birdcage
The Firm

This.Saw it again last year.Very "Dated",the 7o's clothes and hair.Which was great for me because I graduated High School in 79'.Hackman was great.
He's great in everything he's in.He was Lex Luther in the 1st Christopher Reeves "Superman".He plays a great villain.
eta. Forgot about Young Frankenstein.

Maybe my favorite actor. His monologue on gunplay in The Unforgiven.
