I just got put off by the lack of resolution at the end of the one season (for sake of spoilers, I'll leave it at that).

I didn't watch it until recently, so never had to deal with that. I just wasn't a fan of the 3rd and 4th season.

Only something TigerMyth considers, and forgive me for paraphrasing, "The best sci-fi show ever."

Terriers - canceled after one great season
Happy Valley - BBC kidnapping drama, one season so far
The Returned (Les Revenants) - Great show, can't wait for S2
Black Mirror - dark science fiction satire, crazy show

If they didn't try so hard to make sense8 so accepting it would have been fine to me. It seemed they were trying so hard to reach all audiences that it ruined the show some.
The romance between the cop and the druggie felt so forced, that alone made me want to quit watching.

All that said I did finish the season.

Wow, hadn´t thought about this being a possibility. What prompted you to define the show as such?

I felt like the show was clearly satirizing modern societies relationship with advancing technology. A disturbing kind of straight-faced, biting satire like Swift's A Modest Proposal (but not really). This was true in all of the episodes but I especially noticed it in Episode 2 of the first season. They were all slaves to the entertainment industry, spending their time "working", which consist of pedaling a bike to earn virtual currency only to spend it on playing video games and the like in their cells. All forced to watch advertising unless they pay to skip the ad. Every episode has you thinking "this could be the near future". Its disturbing in that way, such a clever show.

While idol agree with this, season one helps set up the character's personalities and who they are.

My wife are 11 episodes into Lost and really enjoy it.

I'm trying to like Breaking Bad but it's a struggle so far.

What's NARCO about? Seen several people recommend that one.
