The shootouts take place at what frequency? Weekly?

i think once per trip. in episode one they said they moved his shootout up a bit (i think a week) to make up for taking so many hosts offlinet

We don't know these things to know whether or not two shootouts took place in a single timeline

well it would be somewhat ridiculous to have hector show up twice in one trip

Another problem: The older hosts don't move and work like they do "now". See the drunkard Ford talks to every now and then in the lower floors. Quirky movements and simple loops. No hosts act like that for William.

I haven't bought into the multiple timelines as far as 30 year difference. But the Lawrence scenes def implied there are multiple and has me on board. Def not on the William = MIB yet

but an issue with THAT is how did Arnold get into Delores,

We know that Arnold was alive when Dolores was created because her last record of contact with Arnold was the day he died.

How do we know Arnold is dead?

One trip?

People come and go regularly. Guests see hosts following daily loops all the time. I don't see two shootouts as a problem.

We don't other than people saying it.

Remember Delores talking after Ford meets with her and asks her about him. Even he seems to think Arnold might be alive in some capacity.

that's why i was saying it was a problem b/c "Bill" was a lot shittier than Delores

What would have happened had McPoyle not shot that dude who was choking his bro in law? Thought they couldn't kill the guests?

Lawrence was with MiB and the he was dead (MiB even says someone will be along to get him shortly). Then Ford puts Dolores to sleep and meets with her. The next morning they run into Lawrence. How is that multiple time lines?

I thought Delores shot him at first.

Delores has obviously been upgraded and kept around by Ford for some reason. Even Bernard sees something special about her.

I think once you go down a certain storyline, you accept certain amounts of interaction and realism. Remember in the "orientation" they get an idea of what you're willing to do.

well if the William stuff is in the past, they may have had a different policy in the future

MIB meets with Lawrence after his revolution stint and is captured. unless they restarted his loop that quickly it implies multiple time frames. Lawrence also seems like a different host. When MIB meets with him he didn't seem like the man in charge type that he is with Delores

i'm re-watching episode 2 now and MIB immediately calls him "Lawrence"

that scene on the train where he says they can call him Lawrence is significant

In both instances he's the most wanted man in the park.
