Yep.

I remember growing up how stoked I was when our local cable provider got the History Channel. I watched it constantly, and I couldn't get enough of their documentaries with Edward Hermann doing narration.

Now it's completely unwatchable, and literally the only bit of history on that channel is when the guy from Pawn Stars gives some half-arsed explanation of the historical background of an antique someone brings in.

They used to have the best documentaries on the History Channel. There was always something watchable on that channel. Now... well I hope there is a warm spot in TV executives hell reserved for whoever decided to turn it into yet another reality TV network.

Pawn Stars and American Pickers at least tend to feature historical items and some education about them in there, and that is enough for me to enjoy them and agree that they belong on History.

The fishing shows, Ice Road Truckers, Ax Men, etc... does not belong. They need to cut those and go back to badass documentaries.

The only time I really watch The Weather Channel is when a hurricane is coming...

Bring back Jill Brown. Last I heard she was selling real estate in ATL.

I will say Coast Guard Alaska was a legit show.

They should go heavy on storm chasing. In a country as big as this, there's some kind of severe weather happening nearly every day.
