And right now they are doing the basics of the characters but pretty much for only the first 2 seasons.

Reminded me of why I USED to love this show, instead of just watching it like I do now.

All the cool things like the moment they launched the boat, the start of Charlie and Claire, finding the hatch, Boone dying. Just hearing the monster, finding the map on back of the door in the hatch, etc. That was great TV.

Me too, I figured I would go ahead and start one though. See if I couldn't get the ball rolling.

I'm not delving into the "Lostie" thread of madness. To many loonies and nutjobs.

I'd rather just start a thread rather than go through that

Possibly.

I think I'm going to go finish season 1 of Mad Men that I downloaded over the weekend though.

Watch a show that makes sense, and has a big titty red head

To be honest, people are saying that Season 1 is no longer important, while this recap is proving that it is indeed the most important of the seasons for what is currently currently going on. The show had to evolve, an I can understand why some people why people wouldn't be on board. LOST's evolution wasn't for everyone, particularly people who aren't fans of sci fi.

i can't talk as if i'm an expert on "what is currently going on," but it seems Jacob v MIB is the pre-eminent conflict

the characters who dominated the first 2 seasons truly are secondary or tertiary

i mean frick, what is ben doing now? honest question

i watched 2/3 of this show, and it was a consistent narrative (even though it was jumbled towards the end)for those 4+ seaons

the last 1.5 seasons created a COMPLETELY different show, brotha

Well, maybe all along, this was Ben's story.

Maybe Jacob has been pulling the strings so Ben would kill him and start a series of events that would end with Ben killing MIB.

honestly then all of the characters from season 1-2, the survivors, are superfluous

No because it was Locke that convinced Ben to kill Jacob. So season one was needed.

Ben did not know Locke was not Locke until after he killed Ben. I think. Fuzzy on that a bit.

only 1 out of like 10-12 characters was needed

Nope, because Locke needed to leave the island to get the rest of the cast to come back in order to be killed and brought back to the island dead.

By the way, i am not a lostiac, I just don't agree all of the early seasons were pointless.

Pointless would be the episode where the highlights involved Hurly and Charlie chased by bees.

No they weren't pointless, they were great TV.

I just pretend that Lost got cancelled after season 2, maybe somewhere along in season 3 and that I never got the answers to the show. Not like tonight is going to give them to me anyway.
