But Hayden Christensen ruined it. That dude was a terrible actor and he is a huge reason many people don't like the movies. It's like they set out to find someone who could make Mark Hamil look like the greatest actor who ever lived. I think that's why i hated Episode 3 so much. Everything in me wanted to like it. And I'll still watch it from time to time. And as the credits start up and the movie begins I'm like, why don't I like this movie? Then that dipshit's face shows up and I remember. He honestly single handedly ruined those movies. Replace him with a competent to average actor and replace Jar Jar with either a puppet or a different character and the prequels don't get half the hate they do now.
Was Christensen absolutely terrible? yes, without question. Did it ruin the movie for me? not even close. Ewan McGregor was fantastic, the lightsaber scenes were awesome, and there were many epic moments. Yoda walking into the Emperor's office is my favorite scene in the entire series of movies.

As long as you agree with that, i can respect your opinions.

Watch the original trilogy on VHS. None of that special edition crap, watch it like it was made.

I'm about to start the series as well, and had the same question, so this thread was a huge help. I plan on watching 4-6, then whenever I get around to it, watching 1-3.
My one question is, without giving away too much (if possible), why is 4,5,2,3,6 an order that some suggested? I'm guessing 1 is left out because it was the worse, by why 2 and 3 before 6?

There's only three Star Wars movies
For some reason I naturally assumed he was talking about the originals. I think I had finally blocked out the prequels.

Because You have a pretty big drop of info at the end of V that is pretty cool if you don't know about it already from watching the prequels.
Ep. 1 is like Indy in the Raiders of the Lost Ark. Like if it weren't there at all, nothing would happen differently.

Cool, thanks. I'm guessing the info you're referring to in V is the world's worst kept spoiler?

It's popular to hate on episodes 1-3 but I actually enjoy them. The graphics are way better, especially the lightsaber duels.
Simple as this
