They were excellent at hurting themselves and making asses of themselves. I don't know how anyone couldn't find this funny:

They are still living off this kind of stuff at 40+ years old with spinoffs like Viva la Bam and Wildboyz, movies and other tv appearances. I'm kinda disappointed in society for letting this go this long.

Jackass is all about being a delinquent and doing stupid shite. We're clearly not expecting classy entertainment out of it.

10 years ago you couldn't get on the youtube and watch people do similar stuff without getting paid. Although I guess ebaums was around

That said I still enjoy some of them. I probably like Wild Boyz the best. No Bam is great and Pontius is my favorite

My bro in law loves that show. I never got the appeal.

I just found it dumb.

Each to their own, I guess.

Jackass was awesome. I would love to do dumb shite like this but the GF would have a problem with it.

My nephew loved this show and the movies. Never got the appeal of it. I would sit there watching one guy kick the other guy in the nuts. And my nephew and his friends would be practically pissing themselves laughing. Meanwhile I would sit there like ok.....

If you can't appreciate a good ball hit then AFV must not have been entertaining either.

I dug Jackass when it first came out.

I remember the absolute funniest one to me was when one of them dressed up like a football player and stole the drive-thru food bag like a handoff and spiked it in front of the car.

I don't know why, but that shite was HILARIOUS to me back then.

It really is no different than the show "Owww! My Balls!" on the movie Idiocracy.
