IMO, Casino Royale is probably the best Bond ever. It's original instead of trying to be collection of Bond tributes that other movies seem to be. The soundtrack is on point and Martin Campbell did an outstanding job directing it. (He should do more Bond movies).

Never thought Vesper was that great ... I was always though LeChiffre's girl was way, way hotter.

It's a very good movie. Revived the Bond franchise and got closer to the Bond that was in the books.

By far the best Bond movie ever made.

Just no. No no no

Look, I like Craig as Bond. As a Bond fanatic, I like him and the story line. But the fact that they would put Bond is a situation where he would quit MI6 to leave with a women discredited it for me. That is not Bond's style.

Evan Grew was fabulous. Loved most things about it. But it is by far the best Bond movie ever...

The key to a good Bind movie is character- particularly of the villain and his interaction with Bond.
When they get lazy with the writing and try to turn it into an action movie, it fails. That's why the Brosnan era sucked.

Casino Royals is really a thin story but a great movie because of character.

She doesn't get a call from Mathis; she lied. This is further reinforced when she gets a text from the one eyed man in Italy and tells bond it's his "employer"

Correct, but Le Chiffre later says "your friend Mathis...is my friend Mathis"

What? He contemplated it in the book. I guess it helped that he didn't have email to send a resignation letter.

But how does that discredit it for you? It's pretty true to Ian Fleming's writing.
