I thought it wad awesome. Then again, it was exactly what I'd thought it would be.

I mean that's it, 3 hours for "Love," as the answer? You know how many movies have made that the climax of the film? Eleventy billion. If you're going to do that, make it more powerful, more thoughtful.

It's a movie just as much about mankind's being as a whole, and I'm fine with our capacity to love as being our greatest asset.

That and I still think the idea of a inter-dimensional third party involvement really, really killed any impact the film had. Again, still fun to watch, the science of it is great, but a pretty bland ending.

I was at first disappointed when they said aliens opened the wormhole, since I really wanted the film to be entirely about humanity and not have aliens in it. Then when it revealed they were 5th dimensional humans, I thought it was brilliant. Then again, I love these concepts, and aside from dumbing down some things so the general audience who doesn't study these concepts, I thought the film was fantastic.

They went from Boston to New Jersey by way of Tokyo

That doesn't seem just a tad deux ex machina-like? At least a little bit? I'd understand if you're still satisfied, but for me that was kind of the last string. Way too easy of an ending.

turned out to be nothing much at all?

I thought it was really good.

The third act falls flat a bit IMO, and it does get a little ridiculous and deus ex machina, but all in all I thought it was solid movie and definitely a really fun ride. And I liked the effort to incorporate theoretical scientific aspects into it.

I'll admit that it basically is, even if it was long set up in the story with Murph's ghost, but not all Deus Ex Machina's are horrible. Toy Story 3 for instance when they're going down into the incenerator and then are saved by "The Claw" I think was a great one.

"Hey, we didn't know you were coming. We've been building this spaceship for a long time now with no idea whatsoever as to who is to fly it, but now that your here you can fly it. Don't bother about being briefed on everything, they'll explain it to you while your up there. Plus there is a computer screen that doubles as a dry erase board in case you want to draw up a plan. I like basketball, that was a little something I added to the ship. Anyway, I'm getting off track. We leave tomorrow. Thanks for showing up."
