A possibility:
DC wonders if Marvel will move, but just move to a week or two earlier or later, hurting their box office.
DC considers that if they move two months away, to March or August, they can have a month to themselves.
DC decides to move to March, and to use the announcement of their upcoming slate of movies to show that they're not faltering on their commitment to their movie universe.
