I'm thinking that the Colonel grossly underestimated his opponent. Wall or no wall, there was no way they were going to take out a force that size and that well armed.

It's like all of the emphasis was placed on the wall and then nobody gave it a second thought when the storm troopers rolled up

The plot definitely has holes, but I enjoyed the hell out of it because of the characters. I think it was the least clever of the 3 in terms of story but I still will watch it again.

IDK

Other guy was pretty stupid tactically.

You have tanks and rocket artillery and your first wave is to send priceless irreplaceable Apaches right up into SAMs

If the Colonel was in charge, he might have been able to do something.

I don't think either side knew the other's full capabilities. I was really hoping those soldiers would pull off their helmets and reveal that they're all apes. That would have been a nice twist.

I thought that would be the end of the second film. They kept radioing the reinforcements. I thought the trucks would show up driven by gorillas.

I like how the doll infected Woody. They didn't beat your head over with the exposition explaining it.

I'm guessing that the doll was also a nod to the novel and the original film. Dolls have played important roles in the Planet of the Apes franchise.

Solid movie. Not quite the action of #2. Ended exactly how I thought it would. Thought Harrelson was good, as always.

I did enjoy the nods to Beneath the Planet of the Apes, and the possibility that the surviving members of the Colonel's camp might go on to become the subway dwelling mutants who would return to battle the future ape civilization.

They didn't hint at them becoming mutants like in Beneath. Just mute like Nova.

I'm referring to the usage of the Alpha and Omega symbols. As well as the phrase on the fuel tank which is a part of the mutant's prayer in Beneath the Planet of the Apes.

I doubt a tanker will cause radio active powers like telepathy. They were like that in the original from an atomic bomb. Good eyes still. I reveal my inmost self onto my god.
