Man, this is the wrong kind of movie for woody. I just cant look at him and take him too seriously. Seems like a major miscast to me.

Good comparison.
Near the end of the trailer, it looked like humans + apes were fighting off an attack by serious military hardware. Maybe some sort of reconciliation?

I thought everything looked good until Woody threw out the "this will be a planet of apes" line. It just seemed extremely cheesy.

Maybe it's to allude to the fact that humans will eventually lose.
Why is this gorilla helping the humans? Unless those are actually apes dressed in tactical gear.
