If the dr knows the virus is global, why test their blood? Did testing 10 more people reveal that? I think it is something else, possibly that they (CDC) or someone like that are responsible.

the doctor all but confirmed to them all it had gone global when he told them the french were close to a solution before they went off the grid. He then told them that there was no contact with anyother CDC in the world.
He even implied that the french CDC had gone through what the atlanta CDC was about too.
I would assume he tested their blood to make sure none of them was infected, or maybe he was hoping that one of theirs blood had some type of antibody that would fight the virus. It is anyones guess.
